Church Council
The Church Council is the main governing/ministry oversight group of our church. Membership on the Church Council is made up of the chairpersons of the various committees and other elected officials. The church Council is charged with dreaming, visioning, planning and helping to coordinate scheduled ministry activites, and directing the total ministry focus of our church.

Committee on Lay Ministry
The committee on Lay Ministry (formely known as Nominations Committee) is charged with the process of seeking persons to demonstrate their leadership talents in service to the Branson UMC through positions on the various Boards and Committees. Membership on the Committee on Lay Ministry is set at our Annual Church Charge Conference. |

Education Committee
This committee's area of ministry focuses on the "overall" educational ministry of the church. Working with the Pastor and Youth Minister, this committee is to dream, plan, and implement various educational program opportunities for our church. Some examples are, but are not limited to, Vacation Bible School; church School Programming, Curriculum Selection, Special church School Activities, etc. |

Foundation Trustees
Statement of Purpose:
The Branson United Methodist Church Foundation shall have the purpose of:
(1) Accepting funds or other property made by gift to the Branson UMC;
(2) Investing and maintaining those funds or other property;
(3) Generating revenue for use in support of the church;
(4) Recommending the expenditure of and spending the earnings of the fund;
(5) Encouraging gifts to the foundation
(6) Educating persons on the means and methods of making such gifts;
(7) Preserving the Foundation Fund Principal. |

Library Committee
The Library Committee is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the ongoing needs of our library. |

Long Rang Planning Committee
The long range planning team is asked to dream and plan for the future ministry of our church. They are to explore possible ministry options and directions to reach out into our community in ways that best share the gospel message of Jesus Christ. |

The memorials committee is responsible for working with families to maintain proper memorial records and to make suggestions as to how memorial monies be used to perpetuate a lasting legacy. |

The mission team is responsible for the interpretation and communicaiton of the various church and conference-sponsored mission programs such as the Festival of Sharing, Christian Action Ministries, etc. |

Staff/Parish Relations Committee
This committee is one of the most important committees of the church. The SPRC's objective is to enable and prepare the staff and congregation to receive people into the family of faith. They are charged with the task of communicating and interpreting our church's mission and vision to staff and congregation. They counsel with the pastor and staff; discern what the pastor and/or staff needs are, and bring these two together. They must earnestly evaluate the pastor, staff, and congregation. To identify, enlist and recruit potential ministers from our congregation and to help and encourage them to develop and prepare themselves for ministry are also part of this committee’s work. |

Witness Ministries Team
The witness ministries team shall give attention to evangelistic outreach to persons, membership care, spirtual formation, communications, lay speaking ministries, and witnessing through the sharing of personal and congregational stories of Christian experience, faith, and service. |

Worship Committee
This committee's area of ministry is to work closely with the pastor, music director and organist/pianist to plan worship services and work to ensure greater congregational involvement in worship, leadership and evaluation. Planning communion services, Christmas, Easter and other special worship activities are also part of their work. |
